Community Impact: 2017-2020

The Project:

Each monthly publication included various data-driven and visual storytelling pieces of content. These stories were typically the ‘lead’ stories that the editorial team of journalists may have spent the previous weeks writing and gathering information for.

The Process:

Through collaboration with an editorial team, the designer and writer discuss which sets of data, maps or photos will help accompany the story best. It was my responsibility to understand the story, the data and the narrative that my writers were aiming to convey. Once handed the story, data and direction, I followed through with the execution of all designs, edits from managers and preparation for print export.
